The road had significant vertical alignment issues, which resulted in numerous cut/fills over 4m vertically, with 1 large fill of approximately 14m. Key quantities:

The project included the re-grading of the site to construct a parking lot, baseball diamond soccer field, and playground. Key quantities:

Nestled in the Rocky Mountains the Hamlet of Nordegg has seen as recent growth in development and WCE was retained to “Paint the Town Black” so to say. This project included work on numerous streets, roads and areas within the Hamlet with approximely 3.0 kilometers of road being worked on. The contract had a value of $2.1 million. Key quantities:

• Granular Base Course – 11,900 t

• Asphalt Concrete Pavement – 8,300 t

WCE was hired to completed the design, tendering, and construction supervision on this 4.2 kilometer local road re-grade, then the following year WCE was hired to completed the work required to base and pave the road. The grading and base/pave contracts totalled approximately $4.5 million. The road is in close proximity to the North Saskatchewan River, which resulted in significant environmental requirements. Key quantities:

• Common Excavation – 51,000 m3

• Borrow Excavation – 13,800 m3

• Granular Base Course – 34,000 t

WCE was retained to complete the design, tendering, and construction supervision on this project, which included work in 3 areas near the Hamlet of Leslieville. One of these areas was the Leslieville Recreation Area which was previously constructed under WCE’s supervision. The work included granular base course, subgrade excavation, granular fill, culvert work, asphalt concrete pavement, micro-surfacing, and other work. The contract had a value of $1.0 million. Key quantities:
